Using Additional Spellings for C famousC and C++ Cplusplus in Job Openings

When I look for the terms C or C++ in job boards or public tenders, I often do not find what I search for.

If I search instead for Ruby or Python in job boards or at the EU Public Tenders aggregator I am satisfied with the results (no snakes).

But for C and C++ it is different. Job boards sometimes, but not always, ignore ++; in search results include everything, which contains the search term, so searches for C highlight “carril“ and “Czechia“; and as compensation enhance queries for C to match also variants of the letter, as in “Tehnička”.

The Standard C++ Foundation acknowledges the problem when describing itself, by saying:

The Standard C++ Foundation (Standard CPP Foundation in some databases that don’t support + in names) is a …

But CPP is ambiguous!

Proposal:

In job openings, public tenders use next to C++ also Cplusplus, and together with C put the term famousC. As of this writing the latter word means nothing. It can be articulated that both words stand for the same language, e.g. by using brackets or the Unicode Idential To symbol ≡.

Example to appear in search results:

We are looking for a Cplusplus developer with attention to details, who understands multithreading source code in C≡famousC. The core of our software is in C++ and it utilizes the Boost library. Our product links with open source libraries written in C.
